In her career, she has experience working in inpatient, forensic, school based, and community outpatient settings. One of her specializations is providing psychological evaluations to a variety of populations. She currently has her M.A. in counseling psychology from National University. Currently she is in the process of completing her Psy. D. in clinical psychology at John F. Kennedy University. Isabel is bilingual in Spanish. Her direct communication style and humor are part of her many strengths.

Alexándrea works with individuals, children and families. With over 20 years of experience working with children and families, she uses an integrative approach to meet and cater to the needs of each client. A San Francisco native, whose lived and traveled around the world, Alexándrea has worked with individuals from diverse lifestyles and backgrounds. Her ability to work with a variety of ages and topics such as depression, anxiety, trauma, child development, and family dynamics in a nonjudgmental and comfortable atmosphere are just a few of her strengths. She obtained her B.A. in psychology from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and studied at Mercer Medical (Atlanta) prior to transferring to the California School for Professional Psychology in San Francisco, where she is completing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

Alexándrea believes the body and mind should be treated as a whole and not as collections of its parts. Holistic health addresses the mind, body and spirit. It searches for the underlying cause of symptoms, rather than simply covering them up with medications. Holistic health allows you to BE HEALTH, not just seek it.

Welcome to Hope for Healthy Families Counseling Center. My name is Bill and I am originally from Memphis, Tennessee. I have been in California for a little over 2 years and I love the seafood and weather. I have a bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Mississippi and currently pursuing a master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Northcentral University. My strengths include being compassionate, creating a warm and safe environment, have a positive outlook on life, and being understanding, honest and optimistic. I have experience working with grief/ loss, addiction, depression, foster care and juvenile systems, anxiety, marital or family issues, and trauma. I understand that we all do the best we can with what we have, and everyone needs help from time to time. I am Solution Focused because I realize that we try everything under the sun before seeking help. KRYSTAL PIUMATTI

I am primarily a Cognitive Behavioral therapist, however I tend to use various therapy techniques tailored to my client’s needs. In therapy, I challenge my clients to openly discuss their thoughts and behavior as a way to uncover how it is affecting them emotionally. As a therapist who has been studying psychology for approximately 10 years, it is important to me that my clients feel comfortable to speak honestly in the therapy room. Life can be challenging and sometimes people need to discuss their hardships with someone who will not judge them for what they are really thinking and or feeling. I have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and lifestyles. My experience includes working with adolescent’s, teens, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, and addiction. Additionally, I preform psychological assessments in order to aid treatment as well as diagnose mental illness. I hold a B.A. in psychology from California State University, Sacramento and I am currently obtaining my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from California School for Professional Psychology in San Francisco. I enjoy working closely with my client to help them overcome their internal hardships in order to reach their personal goals.

Hi, I’m LaTasha and I would like to welcome you to the first stage of taking charge and reclaiming your power! I am currently a Marriage and Family Therapist trainee pursuing my Master’s of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Phoenix. I received my BS in Psychology at Jackson State University in Mississippi. I believe therapy should be stress free and a collaborative effort in order for it to be successful. I am more than happy to work with individuals, children, and families from all walks of life. I have much experience working with people experiencing severe mental illness, trauma, addiction and anxiety. Every individual is unique and has the potential for growth, so therapy should be personalized to each specific situation. Although I mostly use Choice theory and Solution-Focused techniques, I’m very flexible with my approaches.

I have a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Davis and am currently obtaining my Masters of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling at Brandman University. I believe in using a genuine, non-judgmental, strengths-based counseling approach to help you in developing the balance, cognitive awareness and emotional openness necessary to overcome life’s challenges, such as addiction, depression, anxiety, relationship, family and parenting concerns, traumas loss and grief. I use several therapeutic approaches based on your individual needs. I am experienced in working with individuals and families with diverse backgrounds and cultures, parenting issues, substance abuse and addictions, co-occurring disorders and involvement in the criminal justice system.

Hope for Healthy Families would like to welcome a new addition to the HFHF family. Ms. Priscilla G. Esparza is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee who is currently earning a graduate degree in Counseling Psychology from National University. Ms. Esparza brings with her over 2 years of counseling experience including career counseling and process group therapy. As a cancer survivor, Priscilla has sought to promote purposeful living in herself and others. To this end, she utilizes a brief approach to therapy called Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). Ms. Esparza fosters the psychological flexibility needed to unearth any “blocks” that may have prevented clients from living meaningful and fulfilling lives. Furthermore, she provides clients with the concrete skills needed to build self-esteem, reduce stress, and improve interpersonal relationships.

Life can bring challenges that can be difficult to overcome at times. Barriers can stand in the way of moving forward in life. I think we all have strengths that can help us overcome the challenges and break down the barriers that seem to get in the way of progressing in life. I believe there is hope for children, families, couples, and individuals to overcome their adversities. I believe individuals can have healthy and positive relationships. My goal is to provide a safe environment for the client and with guidance to examine the issues that may cause confusion and self-doubt in his or her life. We all need help and counseling can be the first stepping stone to empowerment, to make change, and build on individual strengths. My experience has been working with children and families focusing on strengths, building self-esteem, communication skills, asset building, anger management, and other coping skills. I tend to use Cognitive Behavioral Theory and Solution Focus techniques.
